I hope y’all had a wonderful week.
Mine was tough.
But through it all, I had to remember some wisdom I’ve been getting from my son.
He introduced me to a racing game called Forza Motorsport. And I’ve gotta tell you the truth. I love it. I’ve found out that I enjoy the competition. But I’m still relatively new to this type of game, so my son has been coaching me. And what he’s been telling me is something we could all use:
“Mom”, he says. “Stop paying attention to what’s in your rear-view mirror. Keep your eye on the goal. Conquer the obstacles in front of you and focus on the finish. If you do that, the ones in the back, stay in the back”.
God bless him.
And after I start to win a few too many races, just a bit too easily, he says:
“Mom, you have to raise the difficulty level when it gets too easy. The only way to become the best is to challenge yourself. If it gets too hard, keep practicing until you’re winning at that level too. Then raise the difficulty up again”.
My son, the prophet.
I’m going to listen to him. Because y’all know there’s Word there. So, if you’ve had a hard week, stay focused and try some Finish Line Faith.
Philippians 3:14 (NIV)
14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Blessings!
